✅ Support You Can Rely On – Our team and our partners are available before, during, and after your journey to ensure smooth communication and dependable service.

Our Commitment to Traveler Safety

We believe memorable travel begins with confidence. That’s why we partner exclusively with operators who:

Maintain compliance with all state and federal transportation safety laws.

Employ certified engineers, conductors, and tour guides.

Provide accessible boarding where possible and assist guests with mobility needs.

Monitor weather conditions and adjust itineraries when safety requires.

Carry comprehensive insurance coverage for every passenger and crew member.

Guest Responsibilities

To keep every journey safe and enjoyable, guests agree to:

Arrive early – Arrive at your meeting location 30 minutes before departure to allow for check-in and orientation.

Follow crew instructions – Listen carefully to train staff, guides, and conductors at all times.

Wear appropriate attire – Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Dress in layers, especially for open-air cars.

Respect safety zones – Stay seated when the train is moving and avoid restricted areas.

Disclose medical needs – Inform the operator in advance of any accessibility or health considerations.

Practice courtesy – Be respectful to staff, fellow travelers, and the historic environments we visit.

Guests who disregard crew directions, behave disruptively, or engage in unsafe conduct may be denied boarding or removed from the excursion without refund.

Health & Accessibility

Many of our partner trains and museums provide accessible boarding, restrooms, or companion seating.
If you or someone in your party has accessibility concerns, please contact us prior to booking at [email protected]
so we can confirm accommodations for your specific route.

Weather & Operational Adjustments

Railway operations may be affected by weather, wildlife, or mechanical conditions.
In such cases:

The operator will notify passengers as soon as possible.

You may be offered rescheduling, a credit, or a refund depending on the Vendor’s policy.

Train Ride Tours will help facilitate communication between you and the operator to ensure quick resolution.

Emergency Preparedness

Our partner railways and guides follow strict emergency protocols including:

Safety briefings before departure.

First aid kits on board every train.

Crew members trained in CPR and emergency evacuation.

Communication systems connecting each train with station control and emergency services.

If you experience an emergency while on your trip, use the emergency contact number in your confirmation email to reach on-call staff 24/7.

Sustainability & Preservation

Train Ride Tours supports sustainable tourism and the preservation of America’s historic railways.
We partner with foundations and local groups working to:

Restore heritage locomotives and depots.

Promote energy-efficient operations.

Encourage eco-friendly practices among travelers.

By choosing us, you help preserve these timeless journeys for future generations.

Cancellations & Trip Protection

Safety is always our first priority. If a train ride or excursion is canceled for weather or operational reasons, you’ll be offered rescheduling or a refund in accordance with the operator’s policy.

We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance at checkout to cover unexpected delays, weather changes, or medical emergencies.
