Description
Take a relaxing ride through railroad history at the *National Railroad Museum* in Green Bay. This 25-minute, two-mile journey circles the museum grounds, passing through wooded areas, riverside tracks, and vintage train displays. The conductor narrates along the way, sharing fascinating insights about historic rolling stock, railroad life, and safety on the rails. It’s the perfect family-friendly experience — short enough for kids, rich enough for train enthusiasts, and unforgettable for everyone aboard.
Itinerary
• Arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled ride time • Board the train at the Children’s Discovery Depot • Enjoy two loops (about 2 miles total) with narration and scenic views • Disembark and explore the rest of the museum exhibits, including the Union Pacific “Big Boy” locomotive.
Price & Availability
Train ride tickets $5 per person plus general admission. Rides offered daily May–September, and weekends in October.
Food & Drink
Snack and beverage vending available at the museum café. Picnics welcome on the grounds.
Instructions
Check in at the ticket desk and arrive 10–15 minutes before your departure time. The train departs promptly.
Restrictions
No pets, smoking, or outside alcohol. Loud diesel engines may be overwhelming to sensitive guests — ear protection available on request.
