Description
All aboard for a morning of play and imagination! The *Tots & Trains* program at the Minnesota Transportation Museum’s Jackson Street Roundhouse invites young explorers (ages 0–6) and their families to experience trains like never before. Enjoy storytime filled with lively train tales, make creative crafts inspired by real locomotives, and explore the museum’s exhibits in a fun, interactive way. Watch trains move on one of the last operating turntables in the country, play in the Kid Zone, and meet friendly staff ready to share their love of railroads. It’s a hands-on morning designed to spark curiosity, learning, and joy — the perfect family outing for little conductors.
Itinerary
• Arrive at the Jackson Street Roundhouse between 9:45 and 10:00 AM • Enjoy storytime at 10:30 AM with engaging tales read by museum educators • Move to the craft area to create train-themed art and take home a keepsake • Explore exhibits, visit the Kid Zone, and watch trains move on the historic turntable • Wrap up your visit by 12:00 PM with happy memories and photos of your little engineer

Adults $11 | Students $9 | Pre-K $6 | Infants Free | Family Bundle (2 Adults + 2 Kids) $37.45. Program runs every 1st & 3rd Wednesday, 10AM–12PM.

Check in at the Jackson Street Roundhouse ticket counter upon arrival; tickets are Will Call only.
Restrictions
No drop-offs; children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
